Serving as a resource and an advocate for pest management issues,
Washington Friends of Farms & Forests uses the latest science to
educate the media, the public, agencies and elected officials
about the benefits of managing pests for health and safety.
Friends represents our members interests in front of the
Washington State Legislature. By presenting scientific
information to elected officials, we ensure that the debate on
legislation about pest management issues is balanced.

When agencies write rules that may affect how growers protect
their crops, Washington Friends of Farms & Forests is at the
table participating in the regulatory process.
While Friends focuses mainly on state issues, some topics, such
as the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Clean Water Act (CWA),
cross all boundaries. Friends teams up with other state and
national organizations to work on such issues. Friends organized
the group that intervened in the Washington Toxics Coalition v
EPA lawsuit, and gathered information for the attorneys.
Friends staff have made dozens of appearances around the country
providing updates on the lawsuit and explaining the consequences
for pest management.
Monthly meetings provide Friends members the opportunity to come
together and share their views, ideas and positions on natural
resource management practices. During the legislative session,
meetings are held in Olympia. All other meetings are held in
various areas around the state, and include an educational
component. We are proud of our accomplishments. The broader our
membership base, the more we can achieve. Contact us for more
information on how you can be involved in protecting your
future.
Washington Friends of Farms & Forests supports the Washin gton
